With the new soil, my flowers burgeoned.
complement
thing that completes perfection
The final touches on the house created complement.
contumacious
stubbornly or willfully disobedient to authority
Many toddlers are contumacious.
curmudgeon
bad tempered person
Upon waking up way to early, the curmudgeon man was grumpy.
didactic
intended to teach, particularly in having moral instruction as an ulterior motive.
The colorful alphabet was meant to be didactic for the new learners.
